As mentioned in the previous post, Kylie’s been made the Knight by French Government yesterday and we have a lot of HQ photos from the event in the gallery! Later that day, Kylie attended a press conference for Tous & Kylie and photos from it have been added as well. Kylie Minogue is to receive the Chevalier dans l’ordre des Arts et des Letters from the French Government next week.
The award, which translates as Knight in the order of Arts and Letters, is the highest cultural award that the country offers.
Minogue, who will collect the honour at a ceremony in Paris on May 5th, has been given the award for her ‘contribution to the enrichment of French culture’.
In a statement, the pop star said that she was ‘deeply honoured to be recognised’.
‘French culture has influenced me greatly and I have always had colossal respect for the arts and people of France’, Minogue added.

The countdown has begun!! Not long now before opening night for KylieX2008!!!!
My cast, crew and I have been working hard to really make this show a ‘Spectacular’ for you. Full production rehearsals are coming up and we are very excited to merge all the various elements of the show. If you have seen some of the behind the scene footage you will have noticed both new and familiar faces. I will update you with one more peek behind the scenes before we open in Paris, so keep a look out!
I hope you liked the little ‘All I See’ video we did especially for you! I managed to squeeze in three hours filming at the end of a long day’s shooting for the show. Very low-fi, just Willie and Marco (one of my dancers) and a white backdrop. And, as I always say…’When in doubt, apply more glitter!’. Girl can’t get enough of a glitter drop!
As all my time seems to be taken up with elaborate and difficult rehearsals
it was fun to do something simple and spontaneous. Back to the studio now and I will check in with you again before May 6th!Love Kylie x

Kylie Minogue says she fears her battle with breast cancer is not over, but still dreams of marrying and having children.
On the eve of her 40th birthday next month, the Australian pop princess says she still has regular check-ups with her doctors and has been touched by the kindness her fans have shown.
“It’s not over,” she told the Sunday Mirror newspaper in Britain.
“The ‘voyage’ doesn’t end suddenly. That’s why it’s so difficult to talk about it.

Kylie performed at Dancing With the Stars yesterday and here are the videos of her singing All I See and Can’t Get You Out Of My Head! Although a bit nervous at the beginning, Kylie managed to pull off a wonderful, energetic performance. Pictures to come soon. Thanks to FlyKM.com & UltraKylie.
Also, Kylie was scheduled for an appearance on Ellen this Thrusday, but it was confirmed that she will be on the show on next Monday, April 7!
