Kylie Minogue is in line for a massive pay day after agreeing to perform in two concerts in Dubai.
The cheque for one appearance alone was reputed to be four million US dollars (£2.23 million).
A representative of the Middle East AEG Live production company said the singer will earn “an awful lot of money” for the dates this November.
There has been speculation about a pop spectacular in the United Arab Emirates this autumn, with many suggesting Madonna would make a high-priced performance in the oil-rich Gulf. But Thomas Ovesen, managing director of AEG, confirmed his company was bringing the 40-year-old Australian singer to Dubai.
Kylie has been nominated for two ARIA Awards, the most important Australian music awards! Ms. Minogue is nominated in these two categories: Best Female Artist and Best Pop Release! Congratulations, Kyles! <3 Click here for more info!

Style chameleon Kylie Minogue has temporarily shelved her trademark bubbly blonde image.
The singer emerged from her London apartment today sporting darker locks and hair extensions, her sophisticated new look topped off with a stylish navy dress and dusty pink coat.
The change comes as Kylie prepares to take her X2008 tour to her native Australia later this year.She told her Australian fans: ‘It’s been such a joy to take this show to so many countries that I’ve never been to before, but it’s a real thrill to be bringing it home to Australia and to be able to share it with you all.’
She has also announced she will visit New Zealand and South America.
Although the star’s string of concerts have been a triumph, Kylie admits her latest album wasn’t quite as good as she’d hoped.
She says: ‘In retrospect we could definitely have bettered it, I’ll say that straight up. Given the time we had, it is what it is.
‘[But] Wow, In My Arms and 2 Hearts are crackers. They go off like a frog in a sock.’

Chris Martin has announced that there will be more new Coldplay music before Christmas.
Speaking on the BBC to REM’s Michael Stipe, Martin said that the band will release the EP ‘Prospects March’ later this year.
He also said that there will be a new Coldplay album by the end of 2009.Coldplay recorded more songs than they used for the current ‘Viva La Vida’ album. One of those songs was a duet with Kylie Minogue titled ‘Luna’.
‘Luna’ will most likely feature on the EP.The song did not make the ‘Viva La Vida’ album because it was starkly different from the rest of the album, but in the stand alone EP format will fit nicely as an introduction to the fans.
‘Prospects March’ will be released on December 26.

Well, the wait is over, I’ve just added 9 HQ photos of Kylie arriving home after dinner at NOBU on 30th August. She spent the night with friends, one of them was Jake Shears of Scissors Sisters.
